- Work safely and promote a safe work environment.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Comply with lock out tag out procedures to energize and de-energize equipment.
- Completing preventative and reactive maintenance throughout the facility and on industrial vehicles (forklifts, loader, skid loader and etc.)
- Completing preventative maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
- Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, electric tools and etc.
- Work with outside contractors and venders such as electrical, welding, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, mechanical maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and industrial lifts
- Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
- Operating forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
- Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Able to read and comprehend electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, conveyors, and hydraulics
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Self-motivated and dependable
