About the Role
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:
Your Responsibilities
- Preform maintenance tasks such as interfacing with the process control t4eam and react to urgent requests that could impact production.
- Prioritize maintenance requests; distribute daily job assignments, review maintenance logs and daily supervisory responsibilities of the maintenance team.
- Coordinate activities of contractors performing work on-site.
- Lead continuous improvement activities of the maintenance team for reducing maintenance downtime.
- Measure the success of the maintenance team through trend analysis and categorize these trens.
Who we are looking for
- Basic computer knowledge an asset.
- Must have associates degree in related & technical field of study. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. A combination of schooling toward a degree & work experience will be considered.
- Responsible for the overall operation, direction, and supervisory duties of the maintenance department.
- Ensuring all employees, under your guidance, have received all required training to perform their job safely.
Your preferred qualifications
- Engineering degree not required but would be an asset.
- Minimum two years in a supervisory position.
- Demonstrate organizational and communication skills.
