  • One week of paid vacation is immediately allocated upon hire. 2 personal days provided per year, prorated with employee start date. Starting vacation accrual of 3 weeks per year. Sick time accrued at 13 days per year with an unlimited accrual.
  • Starting salary range, determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $38,800.00 (base rate) to $49,400.00 (10 years of experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.)

Maintenance Repair Worker
A day in the life of a Maintenance Repair Worker is a hands-on journey of ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and equipment. It begins with a meticulous inspection of the day's work orders, prioritizing tasks ranging from fixing a malfunctioning HVAC system to patching up a leaky roof. Armed with an arsenal of tools and technical know-how, the worker dives into repairs, sometimes crawling under sinks or climbing ladders, all while troubleshooting and problem-solving. Each day presents a unique challenge, and the satisfaction comes from the tangible results – a smoothly running facility and grateful occupants. It's a role that demands adaptability, resourcefulness, and a strong commitment to keeping everything in good working order, rain or shine.
Job Duties (Summary):
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other facility components.
  • Maintains grounds and buildings as needed including mowing grass, plowing show, spreading salt, etc.
  • Conduct general carpentry work, including minor repairs and renovations.
  • Troubleshoot and fix machinery and equipment breakdowns.
  • Handle maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to the supervisor.
  • Orders and dispenses tools and supplies; maintains inventory of tools and supplies; monitors expenditures of items purchased; maintains records.
  • May perform as working supervisor for assigned work crew of general maintenance for buildings and grounds.
  • Travels to various work locations as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED and three years of experience in a trade or equivalent education
  • Advanced knowledge of facilities maintenance techniques, construction materials and tools, and functional supervision; or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to perform physical labor; ability to travel to various locations.
  • Meets agency driver’s insurability requirements.
