A Maintenance Mechanic will repair, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Prospective employee will assist in evaluating and developing solutions to determine modifications necessary for existing and new equipment to improve the function of plant machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance.
· Troubleshoots all electrical & mechanical issues on shift.
· Is attentive of unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
· Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
· Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts (i.e. removing pumps, motors, filters, pipes).
· Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements or replacements.
· Provide unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment.
· Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
· Repairs and replaces electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
· Lie out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
· Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
· 3-5 years related job experience preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The Ideal candidate will have experience in:
· Preventative Maintenance
· Production Manufacturing Equipment
· Electrical
· Plumbing
· Welding
· Fabrication
· HVAC
· PLC Controls
· Hydraulics
· Pneumatics
· Experience in Vertical and Horizontal Form, Fill & Seal Packaging equipment is a plus.
· Must have the technical knowledge to repair and/or replace and troubleshoot machinery, instrumentation, and hard-wired electrical devices in all areas of the plant.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Follow instructions, responds to management direction, and keep commitments.
· Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.
· Demonstrates attention to detail
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
