Job Summary
Summary: Operates and maintains all designated equipment throughout the facility. Maintains and repairs any blemishes or mechanical mishaps. Responsible for general appearance and overall upkeep of facility. Consistently demonstrates support of the department by striving for excellence, contributing to team efforts and by displaying a degree of daily positive professionalism for customers and fellow employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine rounds throughout facility to ensure equipment is operating properly.
Performs minor Painting, Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry tasks.
Mechanical troubleshooting/diagnosing of equipment/systems
Reviews, organizes, and maintains equipment inventory, supplies, and tools.
Maintain related records.
Meet local codes.
Training of junior team members.
Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Provides quality customer service to customers/patients.
Work with medical staff to achieve optimal building conditions for daily operations.
Work in a team environment.
Utilize digital technology (Hand held device, computer) to open, create, complete, close Work Orders.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Strong mechanical aptitude
Able to lift 50+ pounds and climb ladders
Able to stand or kneel for extended period of times
Must have ample knowledge/experience using hand tools
Practical problem solving
3-5 years of experience highly preferred
