General Areas of Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform construction, installation, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with GMPs, Quality and Safety practices.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production and packaging equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service or preventive maintenance time.
- Identify and communicate repairs as needed.
- Perform repairs and/or work in conjunction with other maintenance workers or production employees.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform building and process construction or repairs following procedures to assure food safety.
- Conduct routine independent and group audits and equipment inspections
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and correct routine maintenance and repair problems
- Strong working knowledge and experience working power transmission and gear driven mechanical systems
- Strong working knowledge and experience with conveyors and conveyance systems
- Strong working knowledge and experience with the disassembly and installation of bearings, motors, gearboxes, and belts
- Strong working knowledge of AC and DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of, and ability to operate motorized and hand tools and equipment used in maintaining and repairing facilities, buildings, and grounds particular to work area in a safe and effective manner
- Strong ability to work independently and with others and perform duties with minimum supervision
- Ability to understand occupational hazards and utilize standard safety practices
- Ability to complete all assigned work including preventative maintenance and work orders in a timely manner
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate a computer to complete work order forms.
- Ability to follow GMPs and Food Safety and Quality requirements
- Knowledge and experience working with single and 3 phase electricity, AC and DC preferred
- Knowledge and experience with troubleshooting and analysis of circuits and circuit breaker panels preferred

Employee also understands that they will be tested on Buedel Fine Meats/Colorado Premium Foods GMP’s and HACCP rules yearly. Employee will be required to follow all GMP and HACCP rules and regulations according to Buedel Fine Meats/Colorado Premium Foods standards. Additionally, employee will go through yearly training and reviews of GMP rules and HACCP which will require him or her to take and pass a yearly review test of both policies.
