ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee maintenance procedures and manage activities for building, grounds, and classrooms. You'll lead a team, track expenses, and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for our school community.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise maintenance operations and staff
- Monitor performance and provide guidance to maintenance workers
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors
- Conduct training for maintenance staff
- Respond to building and grounds emergencies
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficieny in all maintenance projects
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair and installation tasks
- Manage equipment stock and supply orders
- Work overtime when emergencies arise in order to prevent disruption of the school
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required
- Boiler licenses preferred
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a school setting
COMPETENCIES -- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Ability to perform a variety of basic maintenance tasks using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow repair and instruction manuals.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.
