POSITION TITLE: Manager – Facility & Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Director – Facility & Maintenance
DIRECT REPORTS: 4 Maintenance Supervisors
POSITION SUMMARY: A Manager of Facility and Maintenance is responsible for leading and coaching a group of associates and supervisors in the ongoing maintenance of our state-of-the-art, high-technology distribution center in a cost effective, safe and customer service oriented manner for seamless fulfillment to our customers.

· Manage team members coaching for growth and development; ensure department morale and engagement remains high; manage the team to perform maintenance duties that will keep the distribution facility clean, safe and operational at all times.
- Train, develop, and supervise leadership team; (i.e., able to effectively lead smaller team and larger team while efficiently supporting fluctuating volumes per site growth plans)
- Promote and maintain high employee morale, performance and safety, and counsel employees for unacceptable performance/attendance
- Administer company policies and procedures, while proactively partnering with Human Resources, where needed/required
· Overall responsibility for operations and personnel related to maintenance of the distribution facility including conveyor, racking and other equipment repair and maintenance, knowledge of PLC controls, forklift and battery repair, maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Manage all contracted MHE work and oversee physical work process when contractors are in the facility
- Initiate and review MHE, controls or equipment upgrades within facility
- Ensure proper electrical, structural and mechanical issues are addressed when repairing or replacing any property related to the distribution facility.
- Responsible for equipment inventory and supplier/contractor contact listings.
- Responsible for creating, monitoring, executing and reporting of approved preventative maintenance program for all equipment in the distribution facility.
- Coordinate all scheduling of contractor work on-site to not unnecessarily interrupt any facility operations and to remain within the constraints of DC needs and/or any security service.
- Develop structured training programs for the team to gain working knowledge of PLC controls, forklift repairs/maintenance, put-to-light controls systems and general electrical work.
- Perform bi-annual budgeting process for equipment, scheduled services purchased, contract renewals, repairs and maintenance, supplies, capital expenditures, etc.
- Act as an active participant in safety program development and committees.
- Bi-annual budgeting of costs associated with maintenance management, contracts, repairs and services.
- Negotiation of service contracts with vendor base supporting maintenance management and recommend contracts for approval from supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate should be willing to work in a fun, fast-paced environment; along with being strategic, innovative, logical, objective, developer, a relationship builder, and a team player.
- The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
- Requires 3-4 years previous leadership/management experience in a warehouse/distribution/retail environment or equivalent; .com and/or “Omni-channel” retailing experience.
- Understanding of WMS and/ or experience in a RF environment
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook, & Internet applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and planning skills
- Excellent problem solving ability, high sense of urgency
- Must have the ability to act independently and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
