POSITION SUMMARY
Apply working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks in working on electronic equipment following detail instruction. Work typically involves assisting higher-classified technicians in replacing or programing instruments. Has the ability to make changes and trouble shoot PLC programs. Performs calibrations and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Report progress multiple times daily to E&I Team Leader
  • Help keep parts inventory, including developing min/max system to facilitate stocking and ordering
  • Repair and Maintenance Electrical work focus on repairing, constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform component level repairs on DC or AC motor controls, PLCs, process controllers and other electronics
  • Report issues to E&I Leader or maintenance supervisor
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
  • Perform accredited calibration on a wide variety of electronic and mechanical measuring and test equipment
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
  • Abide by all Company and OSHA safety standards set for work areas
  • Abide by all FDA and applicable Quality standards
  • Don safety equipment and to follow instructions for evacuating in case of fire or chemical emergency
  • Work safely by following LOTOTO, Arch Flash, and other required safety guidelines
Education
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Technical degree in industrial maintenance, industrial electronics, or mechatronics preferred
Experience
  • 1-5 years related experience, preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Computer Skills
  • Familiar with MS Excel, MS Word, basic word processing skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Covered production area; temperature varies according to season; machinery shop (exposed to dirt, dust, oil,
noise); desk area with computer.
