The Position: We are looking for motivated individuals to become an MTE (Maintenance Technician Electrical) within our maintenance team. As an MTE, you will be expected to inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, wire, and maintain all electrical and electronic equipment in the rolling mill and mesh plant. You will also be expected to make mechanical repairs as required in connection with electrical service. You will become a part of the United Steelworkers Union.
Responsibilities:

• Must possess journeyman level electrical skills
• Must have experience in PLC controlled systems to provide programming and troubleshooting support on a variety of PLC types to include primarily, Allen Bradley and Siemans Controllers
• Additional experience is required in proper use of electrical schematics, AC variable frequency drives, AC/DC motors, servo motor applications, industrial sensor calibration and setup, three phase high and low voltage power systems to include switch gear operation and maintenance.

Required Qualifications Include:

• Ability to pass the MTE Ramsay Test - proctored onsite at Liberty Steel Georgetown
• Ability to pass a pre-employment screenings
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Weekend/Holiday availability (premium rates apply!)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Positive, team-oriented mentality

Pay rate: $28 - $32.50/hour
