SalaryHarborview Decatur is looking for an experienced Maintenance Director for our 73 bed long term care facility. The ideal candidate is well versed in Life Safety Codes and Long Term care Regulations.
Maintenance Director Job Duties:
- Perform daily, monthly and quarterly facility checks, logs, and inspections
- Provide daily supervision to the maintenance department; ensure the efficient and effective operational maintenance of the buildings and grounds through planning, scheduling and supervision of task
- Inspect, test and measure completed work to verify compliance with state/federal requirements and/or facility standards.
- Evaluate work areas, examine tools and equipment and provide safety training to team members to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and regulations. √
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings; review findings with the Administrator and the Risk Manager.
- Assist in the development of a facility-based and community-based hazards vulnerability assessment as part of emergency preparedness planning.
- Provide facility access to state/federal inspectors and contractors as directed.
- Must have a working knowledge of Long Term Care Life Safety Codes
- Develop, implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures annually and document the review.
