Calex Manufacturing Inc., which was acquired by Murata Power Solutions in 2018, has been in business for more than 50 years, designing and manufacturing DC-DC power converters for automotive, transportation and industrial applications. Position Summary
As a Maintenance Coordinator, provide maintenance support to the manufacturing department and the Calex facility. Design, build, repair, and maintain all machines, tools fixtures, and other equipment used in the manufacturing process. Coordinate facility projects and instillation of capital equipment. Prepare procedures (work instructions) for all manufacturing process equipment.
As an Environmental Waste Technician, under general direction, sort and consolidate waste materials which consist of emptying most classes of hazardous materials and hazardous wastes from containers and dumping the contents into drums and other larger containers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintenance Coordinator
- Install, maintain, and repair all manufacturing process equipment, tools and fixtures in accordance with preventative maintenance schedules, prints, specifications, rough sketches or verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and repair or replace defective equipment and components following the same instruction set as indicated above.
- Modify/update production equipment as needed.
- Document and maintain up to date procedures (work instructions) for all manufacturing process equipment.
- Assist in operator training and establishment of maintenance programs for new manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Participate in the selection of new manufacturing process equipment.
- Calibrate tools, fixtures, and equipment as needed.

- Environmental Waste Technician
- Involved with permitting of industrial discharges and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for local, state, and federal agencies; conduct compliance meetings with industrial users.
- Active member of the “Hazardous Material Leak Reaction Team”.
- Prepare and complete required forms and documents.
- General
- Understand, support, and practice the Calex Quality Assurance policy as required by the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and IATF 16949
- Provide facilities maintenance support to Calex.
- Perform other work-related duties as required.
- Follow company policy and procedures.
Experience Required
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- 5 or more years of equipment and building maintenance experience preferred
Compensation Data
$63,000 to 68,000/year
