Island Realty is a local, family-owned company and we’re hiring a Full Time Maintenance Technician! Our Maintenance Technician works a fun and active shift responding to routine maintenance issues at our vacation rental units on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Perks include:

About the Vacation Rental Technician Role:
The Vacation Rental Technician position is wonderful for entry-level candidates seeking to gain industry knowledge with a company that offers opportunities for growth and a career in property management and the vacation rental industry. Compensation:
- This is a Full Time role, 40hrs/week
- Hourly compensation based on experience
- $50 per month Cell Phone allowance
- Mileage Reimbursement at the standard IRS reimbursement per mile (currently 67 cents per mile)
- PTO available to you after your first 60 days
- Birthday Off PTO Benefit
- Health & Dental insurance available after your first 60 days
- 401K with company match available after 1 year
- $300 Sign-on Bonus
- Sign-on Bonus payable after 90 days of employment
Work Schedule: Weekend availability necessary, workdays vary with work hours between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Job Duties:
- Respond to all maintenance issues/requests as directed by office staff
- Evaluate maintenance needs to determine if a repair can be made by an in house technician or if an outside vendor is necessary to resolve the issue
- Deliver, retrieve, and track all company loaner items, included but not limited to refrigerators, window unit air conditioners, televisions, etc.
- Replace lightbulbs, air filters, install locks/doorknobs, move furniture, troubleshoot cable and internet issues, and other basic home maintenance tasks as needed
- Keep shop and workspace clean and organized at all times
- Take and keep inventory of shop supplies and report to office when low
- Close work orders as completed in the field to ensure prompt billing by office staff
- Maintain a professional, customer service oriented demeanor while interacting with guests, owners, and other employees
- Provide general maintenance information for guests and owners in the field
- Resolve guest or owner issues with great care and effectiveness
- Perform other duties as assigned
What we Are Looking For:
- Valid S.C. Driver's License required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy and proficiency in various software and applications preferred
- Must be able to troubleshoot modem/router issues
- Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) with friendly and pleasant tone
- Must be a team player with a positive, upbeat personality and a can-do attitude
- Must be a self-starter who can see a project/issue/problem through to completion and follow up as needed
- Hospitality experience preferred but not required
