My client has a need for a full-time Mail Operations Manager based out of their Atlanta, GA office. This is NOT a remote or hybrid role.

In this role, youll assist in management of the overall department, and multi-shift high-volume mail and output distribution operations, ensuring quality service, safety, operational efficiency and the professional development of all team members. You will assist in overseeing client mail workflow priorities and ensure timely and accurate mail receipts and scanning of client transactions. All work adheres to and is managed in accordance with established quality and productivity guidelines and standards.

  • Oversees 3 shifts within the Print and Mail Processing Operation, approximately 75 staff, working with shift supervisors to coordinate labor, workflow, and client service level agreements.
  • Oversees high speed production ink jet devices and mail inserting/sorting equipment [Xerox, Canon, BlueCrest, Bell and Howell equipment]
  • Coordinates and monitors daily production workflow to ensure all functions are performed on an efficient, timely basis and meet quality, productivity, SLA and audit standards; reviews and prepares quality and productivity reports for management
  • Plans, allocates, and monitors work, and makes decisions regarding employment, performance reviews, training and development, salary recommendations, and related employee actions
  • Interfaces with internal and external client(s) to respond to questions regarding shareholder account issues, post office boxes, research, and scanning.
  • Communicates with enterprise Print-Mail/Distribution departments to address shareholder and client inquiries
  • Reviews operating procedures and policies, identifies issues and makes improvements recommendations to executive management
  • Manages the training and development of department personnel
  • Regularly monitors associates, progress and provides sorting, productivity, and quality feedback to direct reports
  • Manages and participates in a variety of special projects, new product testing and implementation
  • Partners with USPS, as well as work with operations in both West and Northeast for mail delivery


Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Work appropriately and enthusiastically with others and responds appropriately in interpersonal situations.
  • Knowledge and ability to execute excellent management, employee engagement, and leadership principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point), internet-based and industry-specific applications.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to plan, set priorities, and adapt to rapidly changing situations while meeting commitments in a timely manner and staying focused under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and follow-through, and to deliver high-quality accurate results/products.
  • A self-starter and innovator, with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management preferred, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Or 3-5 years progressively responsible experience in the mail industry or a related field, with at least 2 years at a management level.
  • Project management experience preferred.
