Machinist.

We are looking to hire Machinists to join our team! Machinists will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of hob cutting, shaping gear cutting machines, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to produce precision parts

- Study blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces

- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications

- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work

- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment

- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to resolve any machining issues

- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Machinist or similar role

- Proficient in basic math calculations

- Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments

- Strong knowledge of hand tools commonly used in machining processes

- Familiarity with Hobbing machines is preferred
