Cnc Programmer And Machinist

Shea Manufacturing is a manufacturer of metal pipe fittings used primarily in Naval Ships and cruise ships. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. Starting with thousands of feet of on-hand bar stock metals, our machinists are expected to use a print/drawing to turn this bar stock into finished product. You may bring the software that works for you, use our on-site program MasterCam, or use HAAS Conversational programming at the machine to produce desired fittings.

All new Haas machines:
ST-25Y, DS-30Y, TL-2 and VF-5SS
Mastercam Software Available for Programming with Phone Support

Responsibilities:
- To program from a flat drawing/ print / spec
- To set up the machine(s) from start to finish with a strong knowledge of machining techniques and processes
- To operate and monitor the machine as it runs (as needed)
- Maintain a high quality and consistent tolerances
- Ideally would have Mill experience to run our VF-5SS
- Typical products are pipe fittings with runs sizes of 1-25 pieces and occasional runs of 100+

CAN BE FULL-TIME or PART TIME
This position is currently Monday-Friday as an 8hr shift or four 10hr shifts, however, it can be very flexible and the position can be an afternoon-start time and/or Saturdays if preferred (current employees have staggered shifts). This could be a full or part-time position. Working in a clean & bright, enclosed, heated machining room on new machinery - this position would be ideal for someone with attention to detail and pride in one's work! Drawings are provided which you will program in Mastercam, or Haas conversational programing, and/or other methods. Then implement on the HAAS CNC machines.

Interview / Walkthrough availability is also flexible per your request:
Monday through Saturday from 8am-8pm
Or to meet our whole team Mon-Fri from 10-4pm
