As a Production Machine Operator, you will join the team responsible for manufacturing bath tubs, shower bases and the coordinating wall units. This work includes operating the machine that heats and forms finished goods produced in the work center. Throughout the shift you will adjust the machine and make decisions on product quality. This role also trims parts and sets the pace for the work center's production. People that like to work fast and wear many hats thrive as Production Machine Operators.
These positions are on Second shift. The core work hours are Monday - Friday, 2:45pm-11:15pm. Being reliable and meeting our attendance expectations is required, as is flexibility to work both daily and weekend overtime hours as scheduled.
Essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Foster a safe work environment for yourself and your team
- Start up and shut down the vacuum forming machine
- Operate the machine to make acceptable parts, making adjustments to temperature and timing as needed to keep the parts within quality specifications.
- Trim parts using routers, presses, or robotic trim fixtures.
- Make pass/fail quality decisions based on quality standards.
- Take an active role in SMED changeovers, including set up and first piece run off.
- Perform regular and preventative machine maintenance.
- Complete daily tasks, checklists, and inspection reports.
- Follow standardized work to meet production and quality expectations.
- Participate in team environment with 2 - 5 team members in the area.
- Participate in team meetings and stay dedicated to continuously improving our work processes.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and an interest in working in a fast paced environment.
- Other duties as required.
Physical requirements of the position:
- Frequently lift, push, & pull items up to 60" in length and up to 35 lbs.
- Reach, bend, twist, and carry from waist to shoulder level.
- Use hands to operate manual and power tools (such as router, power stapler, glue sprayer)
- Stand and walk for periods of 8-12 hours, with breaks.
- Visually inspect parts for defects and complete inspection check lists.
- Use and follow written documentation such as Standard Work & Quality guidelines.
Pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.50 per hour, including shift premium. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills. Delta Faucet hourly team members are performance bonus and benefit eligible within 60 days from hire. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, paid time off and more.
