Job description
A successful and established printing company has an opening at our Midland, Michigan production plant. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, computer literate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Operate bindery equipment as needed.
Position Summary:
Ship, receive, and distribute all items. Inspect all finished goods for accuracy. Serve as the last line of defense in our quality control program. Produce all documentation using MIS software and existing processes. Manage all warehouse functions, produce reports, and perform quarterly physical count of inventory.
Operate, and maintain all bindery equipment as specified, ensuring all orders are on time and meet the customer’s expectations and our internal quality standards. Inspect and package finished material.
Core Responsibilities:
Must be computer literate. Standard office computer skills are essential and required.
Verify and document all incoming and outgoing material.
Ensure all inbound and outbound documentation is accurate and complete.
Prepare shipments for UPS, FedEx, over-the-road, LTL, and local deliveries.
Use job planning reports to proactively manage shipping deadlines.
Ensure that all shipping and receiving processes are completed per company policies.
Review order details and job specifications for accuracy, carefully inspecting all finished goods.
Perform warehouse duties such as inventory pulls, management of par levels, and office organization.
Coordinates last-minute shipping requests and work as the central liaison between shipping and the CSR team.
Data entry & order processing.
Other duties as assigned, include operating various machines to perform bindery functions and assisting with hand bindery.
Preferred skills/experience:
Must be computer literate. Standard office computer skills are essential.
Knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and basic warehouse procedures.
Knowledge of shipping documents and ability to identify shipping requirements and procedures for specific items using manual or automated processes.
Requires basic math skills.
Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
Solid operating knowledge of computers (PC), Excel, and Word. Experience with UPS Worldship is a plus.
Ability to communicate in English - both oral and written.
Must be able to read and understand job specifications, shipping codes, critical numbering system, and Job Tickets.
Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
