Verifies that materials are proper type and dimension, prior to cutting/drilling Sets up and operates equipment following all safety guidelines. Utilize work orders and QC packets to complete work accurately.
Read, interpret and utilize blue prints. Ensure quality checks have been done prior to sending parts to the next operation. Verifies work using common measurement tools.
(tape measure, caliper, micrometer) Maintain tight tolerances as required by engineering and customer specifications. Use jigs and fixtures to maintain consistent quality. Confers with engineers, production personnel, or supervisor to resolve any problems.
Responsible for ensuring cutting tools and drill bits are in good condition, and must change out if required. Float to different areas within the cut room, based on needs and supervisor's direction. Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS This is an entry level position and all training will happen on site. Applicants must be able to read a tape measure accurately. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have good communication skills, and be able to work cooperatively with line managers and employees.
