At Medtronic Eatontown, we believe organ donation is a selfless gift, and we are honored to be part of the process to transform human tissue donations from families experiencing loss into medical products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life for patients around the world. We make a llografts, which are commonly used in spinal fusion surgery . The allograft works as a scaffold that allows the natural bone to grow through its surface.
We are incredibly proud of the work we do and we’re looking for people who are interested in contributing to this important work.
Our manufacturing facility is certified as an American Association Tissue Bank (AATB) and regularly audited by external regulatory bodies. As a certified tissue bank, our facility is entrusted to maximize the gift of donation to improve the lives of as many people as possible. Each donation is rigorously tracked and tested to ensure it is safe to process and use. The specific bones (tibia, fibula, etc.) recovered from the donor are documented from recovery through the manufacturing of the implantable medical device.
Our employees are outfitted with personnel protective equipment (scrubs, goggles, sterile full body suit, and gloves) to protect the employee from the tissue and the tissue from employee. The aseptic operation occurs in a controlled cleanroom environment (certified as ISO 5). We have a rigorous training program and will teach you all you need to know.
