The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, running, adjusting, cleaning, and monitoring their assigned machine, whether it be Alloyd, HFFS, VFFS, or VW. To be a successful packaging Machine Operator, one needs to have technical skills to operate and troubleshoot machinery, attention to detail for quality control, and a strong focus on safety.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
- Regularly inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating at peak efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair issues with packaging equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that packaging machines are calibrated correctly to maintain the quality and consistency of packaging materials and products.
- Ensure that all packaging machinery adheres to safety regulations and protocols to protect workers and prevent accidents.
- Quickly identify and address operational issues that may arise during packaging processes to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to track maintenance schedules and identify areas for improvement.
- Operates forklifts to load/unload materials.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- At least 1 year of previous experience operating manufacturing machinery
- Mechanical knowledge/aptitude required
- Team oriented
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an 8-hour work shift
- Commitment to quality, safety, and communication
- Understanding of what the machine is for, how it works, and best practices
- Able to wear required safety gear when necessary to operate machinery
- Effective communication skills
- Must always be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
