RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow.
Ensure a high quality product is coming off the machine.
Conduct quality checks to ensure boxes have required dimensions and zero material defects.
Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
Complete necessary reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Principle Accountabilities:
Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal ofincreasing productivity, decreasing downtime and waste.
Assume active role in overall plantfacilities-related work.
Position requires assisting alljobs on the plant floor.
Follow all company safety rules andlockout tag-out procedures.
Maintain shop and equipment per 5Sstandards.
May be required to lift up to 30lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
Set-up and operate machine toproduce product according to customer specifications.
Troubleshoot, perform minor repair,and preventative maintenance procedures on machine.
Trains assistant & helper, asrequired.
Perform quality checks as requiredand take appropriate action when needed.
Perform other job-related duties asassigned or delegated.
Comfortable with computers andtouch screens.
Cross-train on other machines andjobs.
Complete necessary reports in anaccurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data,Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
Input maintenance work orders intoBPMS software. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
Switch duties with AssistantOperator or Helper if necessary.
Comply with the facility's foodpackaging safety program processes and procedures.
Complete annual food safetytraining & other safety training
Report any discovered foodpackaging safety risks/concerns to the food packaging safety managementrepresentative or direct supervisor.
Comply with all company policiesand procedures, including but not limited to: Safety, GMP, FSSC, ISO, andmaintaining good housekeeping.
Adhere to production schedule and make recommendations foroptimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, and service goals. Report anyunusual scheduling issues to supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and possess problem-solving skills.
Able to pass pre-employmentbackground check and drug test.
Must be able to sit, stoop, andbend.
Ability to work any shift,including overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be authorized to work in theU.S.
Ability to work in manufacturingenvironment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, andheavy forklift traffic.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year experience machine operating
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other productionpersonnel.
Excellent communication skills.
Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiplerequests simultaneously.
