We are currently looking for a Machining Operator for 3rd Shift in the manufacturing department. This position is responsible for operating equipment used in the cutting, fabricating, and manufacturing of high-quality knife blades and components. Machine operators also perform tasks to complete the machine operating process including but not limited to material handling, loading and unloading machines, and quality checks.
Shift Schedule: 11pm - 7:30 am Monday through Friday (Training on 1st shift for approximately 3 months from 7 am to 4pm)
Compensation: $21-23 with a $3 shift differential (Experience, skills, education, and knowledge will be taken into consideration and adjusted accordingly)
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Load/Unload small parts onto milling centers and CNC’s.
- Reaming and Tapping Using Drill Press or Manual Mill
- Bending Lock and Other Equipment as Needed Using a Small Pneumatic Press
- Perform Basic Machine Maintenance and Housekeeping as Needed
- Inspect Parts in Bulk Quantities
- Promptly Communicate Any Equipment/Safety Issues to Lead
- Maintain Clean and Safe Work Area Following 5S Principles.
- Change Tooling and Make Adjustments on Machine As Needed
Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Prior experience in CNC mill operations. 2+ years of experience is required.
- Prior experience in setting CNC jobs and making G-code adjustments is preferred.
- Machinist related schooling programs and/or courses preferred (In lieu of experience).
- Proficient in use of measuring tools and instruments, including but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
- Possesses rudimentary understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
- Able to read and understand manufacturing documents, reviewing and holding tolerances and specifications.
- Netsuite or ERP experience is a plus.
- Knife knowledge is preferred.

- Follows all federal and state safety rules, regulations, and standards

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 55lbs.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and reach frequently.
- Must be able to be on feet for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Must be able to tolerate repetitive Motions
