This is a skilled labor position with a primary focus of overall operation and/or production of machinery, processes, and materials, within a specific team, line or production area.
- Efficiently operate various types of machinery throughout production department.
- Accountable for equipment setup accuracy and quality of product. Any issues need to be immediately altered to leadership team.
- Execute daily maintenance tasks:
- mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic inspection, lubrication, cleaning and tightening
- process parameter definition, adjustment and controls
- Complete hourly production control tracking.
- Create activity list for continuous improvement related to Quality, Maintenance and Machinery OEE.
- Record process control parameters and adjust throughout process, minimizing downtime.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure daily production goals are met, report issues to Supervisor.
- Perform other duties and tasks, as assigned by immediate supervisor or authorized HSM Manager
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends if necessary.
- Coach, mentor, train and provide guidance to team regarding machinery or materials, in accordance with HSM Quality Processes.
- Provide technical support and fill-in other work areas, as needed and directed.
- Attend meetings and complete special projects, as directed.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are adequately staged.
- Actively participate in housekeeping requirements for the department.
- Follow proper safety guidelines. Report injuries, unsafe conditions and hazardous materials to a supervisor/manager immediately.
- Use good judgment for independent decision-making, while demonstrating ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.
- Support team on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Job Knowledge, and Employee Engagement.
- Listen to team members’ feedback and work with management and/or Human Resources to resolve any issues or conflicts.
- Abide by all HAZMAT regulations regarding transport and storage of chemicals, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC Machinery
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs
- Must be able to read and understand orders and spec sheets
- Must be able to do simple math (add, subtract, divide, and multiply) and use a tape measure
- Basic Computer Skills.
- Prior experience in related industry preferred
- Excellent work ethic and attendance record
- Ability to work independent or as a team
- The ideal candidate displays competency of manufacturing process and will have excellent communication, technical, time-management, organizational and leadership skills.
- Must have good motor skills, to include vision and hearing.
- Ability to operate machinery for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to stand, bend at waist, stretch or reach, and twist frequently.
- May require doing repetitive motions using all extremities
- Long periods of sitting, standing and frequent walking involved in the job.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, and grasp materials as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
