Machine Builder

BHS Robotics is seeking a Machine Builder to join our growing team in our Hanover Park, IL facility!

Job Description:

Machine Builders assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic components required for the construction of automated systems. Welding and machining of parts is sometimes required for this position along with some general electrical knowledge.  Good customer service skills are also a must as travel to customer sites for installations and troubleshooting of systems is a part of this position. Up to 40% travel required for this position and the rest of the time will be in the office.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly of automated systems.
• Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical issues with automated systems.
• Fabrication and machining of parts for automated systems.
• Travel to customer facilities for installation and/or troubleshooting and repair of automated systems.
• Welding of components for automated systems.
• Installation of pneumatic lines and components for automated systems.
• Assist electrical department with installing cables and components in automated systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Prefer a degree in mechatronics or related study but not required.
• 5+ years of experience working with automated machinery preferred.
• Technical skills – electrical, mechanical, customer service.
• Ability to read blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Computer skills – Word, Excel, e-mail.
• Good driving record (able to rent a car).
• Willing to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Works well independently and with a team.
• Good attitude a must.

Physical Working Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and crawl under equipment.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position offering $26 - $38 per hour + full benefits as seen below!
