Responsibilities
We are hiring for an M&A Project Implementation Manager!
This role will be part of the Merger & Acquisition Integration team that focuses on data conversions and the integration of new merger partners into Gallagher systems and processes from agencies that have been acquired by Gallagher. The role is a hybrid role that has aspects of project management, data analysis and transformation, systems and processes. It requires impeccable communication and organization skills.
This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional who can plan, coordinate, execute and follow up a range of time-sensitive activities for multiple merger projects in parallel. The Project Implementation Manager will work closely with leadership, business teams, technical teams and vendor teams to deliver data and process conversions while continuously improving and scaling repeatable processes that will grow rapidly.
The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, project management experience, attention to detail and a broad and deep understanding of insurance brokerage operations and systems. An ideal candidate will have experience with Applied Epic and other agency management systems like AMS360 and other common platforms. A comprehensive understanding of insurance workflows, data and systems is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead data conversion projects and process for new merger partners to Gallagher systems with ultimate accountability for timely and accurate data conversions to Epic and other systems
  • Facilitate meetings and presentations, conduct business process reviews and numerous discussions and work sessions with cross-functional teams
  • Gather, consolidate, document and analyze data from multiple systems and sources for new merger partners
  • Assess current insurance workflows, system data and configuration, operational processes and all aspects of the merger's legacy systems to prepare merger partner to convert their data to Gallagher's systems and processes; this includes hands-on extensive mapping of legacy system data to Gallagher's Epic
  • Manage multiple concurrent conversion projects
  • Collaborate with merger partner employees, corporate and regional leaders, project managers, finance and accounting staff, process owners, IT and vendors to develop integrated project plans for all phases of data conversions
  • Create, review, maintain, and deliver project management documentation, deliverables and communications including: project plans, spreadsheets, meeting invitations, power point presentations and other project management deliverables
  • Track project deliverables, risks and issues by collaborating with task owners and subject matter experts across multiple interrelated internal work-streams and external service providers
  • Support continuous process improvements and develop and scale current processes for a new part of Gallagher's merger program

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience required.
  • Overnight and/or day travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience contributing to multiple parallel projects, activities and tasks with deadlines and dependencies
  • 5+ years of experience and expertise with insurance brokerage systems and processes including commercial, personal lines and benefits
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high-level of interpersonal competency, strong analytical and organization skills
  • Ability to facilitate in-person, remote and hybrid discussions with professionals across the US
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a proven ability to be systematic, complete tasks within required timelines and prioritize parallel work efforts in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with desktop tools such as Outlook, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
  • Ability to learn agency management systems rapidly to perform data conversions
  • Travel required approximately 25%; varies depending on location and number of active mergers
  • When not travelling, this role has the ability to be fully remote with occasional travel to the home office in Rolling Meadows, IL
  • Weekend work is required for data conversions and other required activities
