Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will focus more on administrative tasks such as Medical Assistant Schedules, Timecards, Inventory and monthly chart auditing.

• Data collecting and documenting of patients vital signs
• Administering medications via all routes except intravenous route; verify each medication and vaccine injection and dosage being administered by the Medical Assistant
• Instill eye drops for dilated retinal exam according to written protocol
• Initiating care with AED device, serving as primary assistant to a licensed provider during a medical emergency
• Assisting providers with examinations and other procedures related to direct patient car
• Tuberculosis test reading and documentation of results according to written protocol
• Performing auditory and vision screening tests according to written protocol
• Performing EKGs according to written protocol
• Collection/labeling/preparing/storing for transport laboratory specimens per protocol
• Performing quality control testing on point of care testing
• Wound care
• Assist with Health Plan incentives, such as the Annual Wellness Exams

Position Requirements:

• Must provide proof of Covid vaccination
• Fluency in spoken Spanish with the ability to translate preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school w/a valid, current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse license to practice.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawl Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of employment
