- Providing high quality customer service to students, faculty/staff and general public
- Opening, maintaining, monitoring, and securing the Kat Klub within operating hours
- Answering telephone and responding appropriately to inquires or reservation request
- Assigning customers to gaming activities and issuing gaming equipment
- Monitoring usage of assigned/reserved activities or facility areas
- Setup of events to include furniture relocation/arrangement within KK
- Performing monetary transactions using a cash register
- Balancing cash drawer and making individual report of transactions
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of office supplies
- Responding to trouble calls and troubleshooting issues related to bowling, video gaming, etc.
- Recording trouble calls and maintaining pinsetter maintenance log
- Maintaining and distributing reports on facility activities, incidents, and inventory
- Daily performing bowling lane maintenance and general area housekeeping in Game Room
- Staffing KK events/reservations to include special openings, weekends, and holidays
- Enforcing all rules and policies of the KatKlub
- Other duties as assigned by KK Manager or Assoc. Director
- Currently enrolled in good standing at SHSU
- Work-study eligible preferred
- Professional etiquette and communication skills including: personal responsibility, time management, ability to take initiative, good problem-solving skills, ability to work well within a team or independently without constant supervision, answering phone calls, email communication, and verbal communication
- Customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience in the department or similar facility (i.e. bowling center) is helpful but not required
- Ability to read, comprehend, and implement technical instructions
- Able to stand, bend, squat, or flex repetitiously or for prolonged periods.
- Lift up to 20 lbs. repetitiously
- Ability to organize others and delegate tasks in the workplace
- Able to work and interact within a diverse environment
- Available to work 12-28 hours weekly with a set schedule, including nights and weekends
