Recruiting/HR Intern

Intrepid is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Recruiting/HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. As a Recruiting Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about the various aspects of the recruitment process while assisting out Recruitment Specialist in sourcing, screening, and engaging with potential candidates. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the field of human resources and talent acquisition.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Assist in sourcing and identifying potential candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, and professional networks.
• Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open positions.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
• Assist in the preparation of interview materials and feedback documentation.
• Contribute to the maintenance of our applicant tracking system (ATS) by updating candidate profiles and tracking recruitment activities.
• Support the team in organizing recruitment events, job fairs, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
• Collaborate with the HR team to enhance the overall candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Conduct research and assist in the development of creative sourcing strategies.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• You must be currently enrolled in school and working toward a degree in a relevant program (Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Sales, Communications, or related field.)
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn about the recruitment process.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in recruitment is a plus.

Work Location: Hybrid – Intern will spend some days in-office and have the flexibility to complete remaining hours remotely.
Hours: 15 per week
Duration: Between 2-4 semesters, depending on graduation date
Compensation: $15 per hour and includes a 401k contribution.
