Job Description
We are currently looking for Low Volt/Structured Cabling Technicians for projects in the Westminster and Denver area to work on a commercial projects. Must be reliable and have some previous low volt experience.
- Monday - Friday, some Saturdays
- 6am - 3:30pm (hours can vary)
- Must be able to work overtime if required
Pay:
- $20-$28/ hour DOE
Job Description:
- Perform all tasks required for installation of a complete structured cabling system in a new or existing construction environment. Including but not limited to:
- CAT 5e, 6, 6a and fiber optic horizontal cabling
- Copper/fiber optic distribution backbone cabling
- Pathways/cable support systems
- Equipment rack/cabinet
- Cross-connect blocks
- Read and understand special system blueprints and industry symbols.
- Be familiar with network equipment and circuitry, Fiber Optic and Ethernet cabling.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years low volt experience
- Proficient in Cat6A jack and patch panel terminations
- Proficient in IDF closet build out (installing network racks, wire managers, overhead ladder rack, grounding, etc)
- Proficient in large scale IDF closet Cable dressing (Pencil Dressing)
- Proficient in pulling Cat6A cabling through cable tray and J-Hooks
- Mechanically inclined (knows how to use Power tools, hand tools, ladders,)
- Large scale construction site experience is a plus (worked on large crews, large buildings, worked on ladders,)
- Must be able to pass background and UA screening.
