Low Voltage Data Technician

Summary: The Low Voltage Data Technician is responsible for all building maintenance related duties. This includes light troubleshooting and major repair work as needed. In addition, the Low Voltage Data Technician will be responsible for maintaining the electrical, plumbing and cleanup of the different departments within the building.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt, hourly role. Hourly rates start at $19.00, plus Over Time (paid at 1.5x), plus Bonuses. Annual pay for new hires generally ranges between $53,700 and $78,000 or more, depending on experience, overtime hours worked and bonuses.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Installing, servicing and integrating a variety of Low Voltage systems to include Intrusion Alarms, Video Surveillance, Card Access, Telephone Systems, Data Networks and more.
• Ability to answer basic customer inquiries after trained by MSI.
• Ability to travel domestically to other MSI locations with expenses paid by the company.
• Manage updates to MSI systems.
• Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:

• 1 year of Low Voltage Data Technician experience.
• High School Education required.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet a plus
• Good communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
