In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for acquiring and maintaining all equipment.
- Ensure that all equipment has sufficient functionality and quality.
- Support budget decisions on equipment costs
- Manage the acquisition and installation of new equipment.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment and operational status
- Support asset management of hardware equipment and licenses
- Manage/allocate storage space for all equipment and spares.
- Maintain smooth operation of all equipment in computer systems and maintain coordination with network administrators and software developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems to ensure quality of all equipment.
- Interact with users and evaluate vendor equipment products.
- Make recommendations to purchase new equipment.
- Coordinate with project leaders on equipment needs.
- Support project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of equipment.
- Identify appropriate technical and business resources as needed.
- Keep current on advances in the field of new equipment and technology.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Equipment Administrator.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in computer networks, hardware, and information system management.
- Experience and knowledge of ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of Tier 1 IT support.
- Experience interfacing with Computer hardware, software, and network vendors.
- Experience / knowledge supporting equipment warranty process / repair.
- Knowledge and experience with various hardware and network devices.
- Current IAT Level II certification - one of the following (CompTIA Security + CE or Network + CE, CCNA Security, SSCP, GSEC).
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation and the ability to pass additional background investigations.
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a higher-level clearance if required by the customer (i.e. Confidential, Secret, Top Secret).
- U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline
- 7+ years as an Equipment Administrator.
- 7+ years of experience in computer and information system management.
- Experience supporting a DoD customer's Information Technology environment (Asset Management, Equipment Acquisition, Supply Custodian, Information Technology equipment manager, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience with DoD equipment management systems and IT infrastructure asset management.
- Knowledge of Cloud Computing requirements/architectures.
- Knowledge and experience with ITIL v4.
- AWS Administrator Certification.
- Possess and Active DoD Clearance.
