Corteva Agriscience has exciting opportunities within the Corteva Logistics Organization (CLO) for Logistics Specialists at our Midland, MI location. The CLO's mission is to provide superior value through unyielding focus on safety, customer service and efficient utilization of resources to all Corteva businesses within the iPark. We are seeking highly motivated, dependable self-starters who are interested in working for a safe, well-established global company. The position will provide support for Corteva's manufacturing operations through the handling of Corteva's raw materials and finished products. Candidates will work in a variety of material handling responsibilities.

What You'll Do:
- Perform plant operations related to shipping and receiving within a chemical process, including the coordination of material shipments and receipts, sampling and quality testing of received materials, and data entry into information management system.
- Perform plant operations activities associated with chemical processes, including the loading of liquid waste trailers and unloading bulk raw material trailers, utilizing strong communication skills to efficiently complete tasks in a partnership with facility operations specialists.
- Perform electronic transactions related to shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Work with material schedulers and planners to optimize and resolve issues related to inbound material schedule.
- Safe operation of a forklift or other heavy equipment.
Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements:
- High School/GED or equivalent.
Education/Certification Preferred:
- Manufacturing or relevant military experience.
- Relevant trade school training or technical background.
Basic Requirements:
- Have a current, valid, United States driver's license.
- Pass a drug screen, background history, and other relevant screens if job offer is received and accepted.
- Read, write, and speak English.
- Reliable attendance.
- Work a rotating shift and/or overtime, as business needs require.
- Ability to be regularly medically approved and fit tested for respirator use.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Obtain necessary certifications as needed.
- Work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- You value the safety of yourself and your co-workers and will eagerly participate in safe work practices, on-the-job safety, and work safety programs, including wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily, including half and full face respirators as well as impermeable chemical suits when needed.
Candidate must be able to perform the Essential Functions of the role, which include, but are not limited to the ability to:
- Use standard safety equipment which is rated for 300 pounds or less.
- Pull, lift and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times per day and maneuver hoses, and operate valves and similar equipment.
- Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms or other hazard warnings.
- Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Wear a uniform and safety equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes.
- Safely operate fork trucks, condors, and/or site vehicles.
- Candidates must be willing and able to work in environments that include: tight or closed-in space, climb stairs/ladders and working at heights, stand or walk for extended periods of time, frequent bending and reaching, outdoors and in inclement weather.
