Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Specialist

Detroit Tuned, a fast-paced and growing automotive company, is looking for a Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Specialist. Detroit Tuned is located in Clawson, and a family-owned and operated business since 2004. With a renowned reputation locally, Detroit Tuned is a full-service automotive shop with a bustling e-commerce website that ships to customers around the globe. We are looking for qualified candidates who are organized, like to keep active, are meticulous to details, with excellent communication skills to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Position Requirements

• Must have a reliable source of transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in different types of weather.
• Good attention to detail. Must have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay organized.
• Applicants must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have a good driving record.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Handling, receiving, and stocking incoming and outgoing automotive parts throughout the warehouse. Must be comfortable with physical labor including but not limited to standing, bending, squatting, and climbing a ladder. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout your shift.
• Verify receipts against purchase orders/invoices.
• Keep the warehouse/inventory clean and organized.
• Pulling, organizing, and preparing parts for weekly repairs.
• Ship and receive inventory including skills to ship large multi-box orders or pallet items like an engine.
• Assist in the maintenance of inventory accuracy and control inventory-related records.
• Effective communication within departments about special ordered items, back-ordered, and low product quantities.
• Assemble automotive product kits. Training will be provided.
• Ability to drive a forklift. Training will be provided.
• Move stored vehicles and wheels/tires as needed throughout the year.
• Other small tasks as needed to help the shop flow smoothly.

Position Benefits The normal work week would be 35 hours a week to start for the right candidate, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM with the possibility for more. Pay ranges from$15 - $20 an hour, depending on experience.* Benefits can include PTO/ HOLIDAY pay with Health insurance including Medical, Dental, and vision as needed for the right candidate.
