Description of Position:
Purchasing and procurement of all supplies & equipment for scholar programming and scholar events.
Collaborate with the Grant department to ensure funds are appropriately spent within grant timelines and parameters.
Prepare monthly expense reports.
Assist Program Managers track site budgets.
Maintains Inventory list of all CORE office supply and classroom furniture & supply items at schools.
Collaborate to coordinate events and community service opportunities across sites and organization-wide, including:
MLK, Day of Caring, Holiday Express, CORE Orientations, end-of-year celebrations, and Enrichment workshops and events.Plan with Community Engagement, Development, and Programming departments to identify events in alignment with the school site event goals.
Coordinate with enrichment and community service partners to execute the defined event
Communicate any plan changes, details, and updates to all audiences
Manage procurement logistics for events and community service
Assess and determine ideal vendors to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs as well as transportation methods, routing, etc.
Update & monitor monthly calendars to detail upcoming events and required logistical information (e.g., event name, location, driver information, attendees, materials, etc.).
Collaborate with site team members, to ensure all scholars have equal opportunity to attend community service and CORE events and that programming needs are met.
Coordinate and arrange transportation for community service, enrichment, and outside events.
Develop and maintain detailed event plans/summaries to maximize the experience of all involved parties.
Document events and enrichment experiences in the CRM system.
Serve as liaison for enrichment and community service partners and manage event participants including vendors, exhibitors, scholars, etc.
All other assigned duties to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Requirements:Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 3 years of professional experience with event planning or related experience.
Must pass both Federal and State Background Checks
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with a diverse group of youth grades 6-12.
Must be focused, organized, detail-oriented, able to command respect, and reliable.

Ability to work with culturally diverse staff and populations and a variety of education stakeholders and audiences.
Ability to monitor, analyze, consult, and report on programs and services.
Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent command of English language and grammar, both verbal and written.
Proficient with computer applications—a thorough understanding of Apple Products and the ability to learn and master other computer technology/software programs as needed. Good command of Internet usage.
Excellent follow-through and persistence when corresponding with families, teachers, and volunteers.
