OCCK, Inc is looking for an Autism/Transitional Living Specialist to join our team. Summary: The selected candidate will provide therapy to children ages infant to 21 years of age using applied behavioral analysis (ABA), which includes teaching basic life skills such as communication, social skills and self-care. The position will work directly with customers to meet their needs and assist in getting them back into the community.
This will include home visits, shopping, contacting community resources, phone calls, data entry and document review. The services are community based in the following counties: Clay, Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Jewel, Lincoln, Marion, McPherson, Mitchell, Osborne, Ottawa, Republic, Rice, Saline and Washington. Responsibilities: Gather resources for families/parents as needed including connecting with schools to meet with children.
Market Autism Services in the community, meeting with community partners. Attend team meetings as requested by families (IEP's, school meeting, wrap arounds, etc.). Prepare lesson planning sessions for ABA therapy.
Cleanse, disinfect toys/working areas after each session to avoid transmitting illness. Work to begin services by scheduling meetings with new referral families to complete intake packet. In addition, gather information for referral process such as diagnosis, Kan Be Healthy, evaluations, via fax or email.
Maintain communication regularly with families to report status of the intake process/in services. Complete Q90 database updates, Q90 Resource Center, customer files current and data tracking. Assist with the Autism Newsletter.
Attend training as required by the State of Kansas including those requested by OCCK, Inc. and supervisor. Respond to incoming calls covering requests for Autism information and referrals.
Other duties as assigned.
