Serco is seeking a Logistics Control Clerk/Driver, to support our Chula Vista, CA location. This position provides integration, acquisition, and technical support for US Military and other US contracts around the world. This position will be a hybrid driver and warehouse worker that will flex to the needs of the business.
The Logistics Control Clerk/Driver, ensures mission essential items are delivered, shipped, received, tracked, and inventoried. This position is responsible for issuing items from and receiving items into Costpoint, properly inventorying, preparing items for shipment, and delivering shipments to different.
As the Logistics Control Clerk/Driver you will perform the following tasks:
- Receiving, unpacking, counting, separating, inspecting, and storing project inventory using Cost Point and Rfgen our (ERP & WMS systems).
- Completing a variety of tasks such as cycle counting, pulling material requests for internal and external customers, inventory transfers and warehouse location transfers.
- Being familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures including operating a forklift, prepping shipments, crating shipments, and palletizing shipments.
- Performing vehicle and forklift equipment inspections; including lights, brakes, mirrors, steering, forks, mast and other required operative equipment.
- Having knowledge of the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the warehouse and transportations fields including Hazmat.
- Safely drive company vehicles to deliver product on time which includes loading, unloading, and delivery of parts with efficiency.
- Tracking and verification of all customer deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
- The ability to learn and follow instructions, work with current team in a collaborative setting.
- Communicating via email on Microsoft outlook and utilizing Microsoft Excel, Teams and Word.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN ACCESS to MILITARY AND GOV'T INSTALLATIONS
- Pass a background investigation and drug screening. This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
- Have a High School Diploma OR Equivalent
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience, to include: delivering material, performing inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment; and utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification and tracking of material.
- Have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Willing to work overtime if needed and potentially some Saturdays (maybe twice a year).
- Safely drive company vehicles to deliver product on time which includes loading, unloading, and delivery of parts with efficiency.
- Keep shop and work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Willing to travel 10% of the time.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $38,158.12 to $57,237.18; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
