Essential Job Functions
Contract carriers to haul freight
Track transportation shipments, inbound and outbound
Assist fleet managers of trucking company
Plan and schedule work activity to achieve established goals
Data entry for inter-departmental information transactions
Coordinate efforts with other departments to foster the free flow of necessary information
Review and assess information from periodicals, trade publications, computer data banks and other sources regarding potential markets and freight opportunities
Requirements
Basic to intermediate computer knowledge Excel, Word, Email (Outlook)
Basic math skills multi layered equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division utilizing a calculator
Willingness to grow and learn other aspects of company business
Strong work ethic
Ability to work with a team
Ability to work extended hours when needed
Other Skills
1-2 Years in Transportation/Truck Logistics Experience (beneficial but not required)
Basic knowledge of FMCSA regulations (beneficial but not required)
Experience with Electronic Logging Devices (beneficial but not required)
Experience with commercial GPS tracking system (beneficial but not required)
Ability to quickly devise solutions and control a situation
Consistent attention to detail
