What you'll do:
- Partners with business stakeholders within the fulfillment department to build a culture of data driven decision making.
- Supports the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within fulfillment processes and identification of better ways to improve warehouse efficiencies, enhance productivity gains and streamline processes.
- Develops metrics and leverages business intelligence tools both to support data driven identification of root causes and to measure the effectiveness of solutions.
- Identifies trends and process variations as part of establishing a continuous improvement monitoring system.
- Leads and facilitates departmental teams, training sessions, and workshops to drive ideas and solutions.
- Develops data streams for advanced reporting and sustains reporting structure once implemented.
- Partners with other team members within the Fulfillment department to devise new support material based on the revised processes, to include training, reporting and systems enhancements.
- Actively monitors project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance.
- Ensures the business impact and project objectives/dependencies are identified, reported on and managed at all times Sets clear expectations at every level, provides constructive feedback, and holds staff accountable to expectations.
- Builds trust across the organization and develops strong working relationships among internal and external suppliers and customers.
- Stays abreast of warehousing and logistics best practices, methods, and technologies.
- Assists the department supervisor with special projects as requested to meet business goals and requirements.
- Observes established safe working and housekeeping procedures; promptly corrects hazardous situations.
- Follows all company policies, security protocols & procedures, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and ISO requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. May be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
What you'll bring:
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience of continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role within a warehouse environment, Previous experience working in an ISO certified environment within the Warehousing and Logistics Industry is preferred.
- Business Intelligence (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) experience preferred.
- Effective working knowledge of multiple process improvement methodologies.
- Effective working knowledge in the implementation of continuous improvement programs and Lean solutions.
- Effective working knowledge warehousing and logistics processes (i.e. Inventory Management, Order Fulfillment, Quality Assurance, Order Planning/Forecasting, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal customers, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Effective working knowledge of Warehouse Management systems are essential to this role.
- Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
