We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Specialist to join our team. As a Loan Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting clients in obtaining loans and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties:
- Evaluate loan applications and determine eligibility based on credit analysis and underwriting guidelines
- Collect and verify necessary financial documents from clients
- Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with loan officers, escrow agents, and other parties involved in the loan process
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan application process
- Answer client inquiries regarding loan terms, rates, and repayment options
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Loan Specialist or similar role in a bank or financial institution
- Strong knowledge of loan products, escrow processes, and financial services industry
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws
- Excellent mathematical skills, including proficiency in basic math and 10-key typing
- Ability to analyze creditworthiness and underwrite loans effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
