Loan Servicing Specialist I (24 hours per week)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Loan Servicing Specialist provides support for all loan types. They are responsible for answering phone calls and other correspondence from internal and external customers as well as performing a variety of research and maintenance for consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary Functions

• New loan input: initial setup and review of consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans in the core system.
• Loan maintenance: review and process requests for file updates in an accurate and timely manner.
• Collateral review: initial setup and review of loan collateral records in the core system and perform collateral related maintenance as required.

Secondary Functions

• Payment posting and correction: apply payments accurately with established procedures.
• Records: sort, scan, and digitally file loan documents within records system according to departmental guidelines.
• Insurance tracking: partner with established vendor to ensure adequate insurance coverage across all loan types by making outbound calls to insurance agents and borrowers where needed.
• Escrow: track, maintain, and pay property tax, PMI, and insurance bills for escrowed loans, perform annual escrow analysis and other escrow maintenance as requested.
• Other tasks as directed by volume and business needs.

Willing to cross-train in other department tasks.

SALARY GRADE: 33
