This role is responsible for the management of a team of Commercial Banking Support for our Business Banking division to ensure that MidWestOne's servicing requirements are documented and maintained. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert while assisting with on-the-job training and support in their assigned region. Will collaborate with the Vice President, Business Banking, Bankers, other Support Regional Team Leaders and Operations Departments to assist with change implementation and the writing of policies and procedures related to commercial banking functions.
Responsibilities
  • Leads, manages, and provides guidance for a team of Commercial Loan Support in assigned market(s) with a focus on a partnership in sales and client experience excellence in a way which manages risk and promotes revenue growth.
  • Serves as Loan Servicing liaison for the market working with loan operations, construction monitoring and processing areas.
    • Identifies missing resources and changes that impact processes and provides input or recommendations for procedures to Commercial Loan Administration Team Lead for approval.
    • Is the subject matter expert for the filing and recording rules and process for the states in which they service.
  • Works with L&D on a comprehensive training plan including the development of learning plans, curriculum, and resource guides for newly hired team members. Assists with training, as needed.
  • Collaborates with the Vice President, Business Banking, the other Support Regional Team Leaders, and the Operations teams to ensure consistency throughout the MWO footprint.
  • Oversees team responsibilities related to a variety of Loan Servicing duties and responsibilities; may perform a variety of loan support duties, including but not limited to the following:
    • Servicing of existing loan account relationships
    • Support with new or changed loan processes, including workflow review and submission of request to processing.
    • Handling incoming telephone calls and various customer service requests to support respective commercial bankers and retail staff.
    • Assisting others with compliance and loan policy requirements
    • Reviewing various loan documents and reports, including quality control of internal procedures
  • Works on related projects.
  • Facilitates or participates in a variety of meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Works on related projects in collaboration with other Commercial Banking and Commercial Loan Operations Team Leaders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of post high school education and related work experience.
  • In addition to education in the field of business, must possess 3-5 years of experience with managing distributed employees, project management, process improvement, and strong working knowledge of banking regulations and processes.
