LOAN PROCESSING CLERK
Duties:
- Recording and processing vehicle registration, transfers, lien, and titling transactions
- Processing vehicle and title transfers, including entering information into computer databases
- Research DMV rules, regulations, and fee calculations for DMVs across the country
- Inputting data into the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) computer system to process transactions, including titling vehicles and registering cars for new owners
- Maintaining records of vehicle transactions and updating files with auto insurance and new information as needed
- Assisting members with the final stages of a private party loan (auto sale) or refinance
- Following up with auto dealerships or members to request supporting documentation as needed
- Scanning auto and homeowners’ insurance policies
- Confirm PFCU is listed as lien holder on all required loans and paperwork
- Ensuring insurance meets liability guidelines
- Auditing loan and mortgage loan files to ensure all required documentation is complete
- Assisting VP of Lending with real estate documents, including flood certificates, title policies, etc.
- Works closing with lending department including Loan officers and Loan Processors I and II
- Answer calls pertaining to consumer loans and DMV
- Back up to loan processor I (processing loan applications as needed)
- All other duties as assigned
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years DMV tile work experience
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills
- Must be able to multitask to meet loan audit and DMV deadlines
- Attention to detail is a must to ensure information is accurately recorded, processed and complete
- Must have good organizational skills to keep track of member information, vehicle information and other records
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new and multiple platforms, including online DMV platforms
