GENERAL FUNCTION:
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the loan servicing functions required in order to maintain the bank's loan portfolio and service all loan customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advance funds for closings and draws.
- Process loan payments and reversals/corrections, including requests for online dollar payments and transfers.
- Payoff loans and process paid files according to the established checklist.
- Prepare payoff letters.
- Process and prepare participant and/or investor remittances as needed.
- Research and prepare duplicate release requests.
- Track and process unit/lot paydown letters, paydowns, and releases in connection with construction loans.
- Assist customers with inquiries.
- Prepare ticket batches for the department's items to be processed through branch capture at the teller line.
- Access, review, and process reports, checklists, and procedures assigned in connection with the above responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the team's performance as it pertains to adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Recommend new or updated policies and procedures to management.
- Provide guidance and training to team members.
- Communicate the needs of the team to management.
- Conduct periodic team meetings, as needed.
- Perform required review and/or approval of any department work as required within established guidelines, policies, and procedures when needed.
- Provide support to team members and all bank coworkers involved in more complex servicing processes and issues, including, but not limited to, performing calculations, providing analysis, and proposing resolutions.
- Assist in identifying, developing, and promoting efficient processes and procedures.
