Job description

Summary Responsible for analytical, operational and administrative duties for complex commercial loans, consumer loans and mortgage loans by analyzing reports and trends; validates and maintains accuracy between IBS Loan Control parameters, Loan Types, and Compliance Systems documentation; reviews system reporting for soundness of judgment, overall accuracy and making recommendations for change by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Researches and analyzes performance reports to clearly identify loans or processes that need attention, providing detailed and clear results to management.
  • Provides analysis, reporting, and modeling to develop and interpret information that assists with operational decision-making, policy/procedure formation, growth management and other managerial functions.
  • Participates in the development, planning and implementation of project initiatives which impacts assigned department. Serves as an integral part of major and operational project work and may lead cross-functional project teams.
  • Partners closely with various Lending teams, Retail Banking, Customer Support, Core System Analysts, Marketing/Product Development team, Training Department, software vendors, and other operational areas to coordinate implementation of new products, product interfaces, system enhancements and develops processes and procedures to increase efficiency and streamline work as well as build strong relationships and coordinate project and program deliverables.
  • Partners with business unit leaders to identify special projects; determine scope, evaluate requirements, manage implementation, monitor quality and gain efficiencies.
  • Assists in developing and updating departmental procedures, Best Practices, and policies to service a variety of loan documents including but not limited to: complex commercial loans (CRE & C&I), consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Works with departments to resolve issues.
  • Develops periodic reports on a wide range of strategic and tactical analysis.
  • Develops recommendations, and prepares written and oral presentations to senior management.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for improving results and makes recommendations to business managers.
  • Develops procedures and provides documentation for training materials, training staff when necessary.
  • Recommends updates for efficiencies within procedures, products, systems and vendors to be used within the share deposit product structure; insuring compliance with statutory requirements, applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Assists the Director of Loan Operations in attaining established departmental goals, achieving Operational Excellence and instilling a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Works with conversion teams on special projects during implementations, system upgrades, conversions, and acquisitions of other financial institutions.
  • Supports enterprise-wide operational improvement programs and initiatives.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field; minimum of 5 years banking or related experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as Quickbooks. Ability to learn bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP, etc. Ability to use basic office machines.
