REPORTS TO: CEO/President FLSA STATUS: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for originating commercial and consumer loans and growing the existing loan portfolio of the Bank.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Meets or exceeds established production goals by originating commercial and consumer/installment loan applications.
- Identifies customer needs and recommends appropriate bank services.
- Interviews loan applicants, reviews file, and makes determination for eligibility.
- Operates within a specified board approved lending authority.
- Complies with bank procedures by maintaining accurate loan documentation and following operational/security guidelines.
- Analyzes credit information and determines loan amount for specific transactions. Makes lending decisions within board approved lending authority or presents to proper higher executive management for approval.
- Identifies and acts on opportunities to develop expanded banking relationships by cross selling other bank products to new and existing customers.
- Develops and manages loan portfolios in a manner that will maximize profitability, minimize risk and delinquency.
- Enhances business development efforts through relationship building with potential or existing customers and by participating in community activities/functions.
- Reviews loan denials with loan applicants.
- Monitors loan performance and financial and business condition of borrowers. Monitors loan packages to closing to ensure they are correct and customers are satisfied.
- Interact in a professional, courteous manner with co-workers, customers, prospective customers, visitors, vendors, etc…
- Ensures that delinquency is maintained within the Bank’s standard guidelines.
- Demonstrates knowledge and expertise of consumer lending practices and financial principles and supports the Company’s overall mission, standards, policies and procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.

- Perform other duties as required by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises their assigned Loan Processor.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s policies and applicable regulatory laws.
- Supervisory responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent
- Professional lending or sales experience preferred but not necessary

- Possesses a full understanding of the business objectives of the Bank, underwriting guidelines, a working knowledge of lending policy/regulations, title insurance, loan documentation, credit/financial analysis techniques, disbursement procedures and underwriting functions.
- Solid sales/marketing and customer service techniques.
- Able to work towards established sales targets.
- Able to proactively and effectively participate in the Bank’s sales program by offering customers products or services.
- Able to handle increased pressure situations on occasion.
- Able to make appropriate judgments based on Bank policy and procedures. Demonstrates commitment to Bank values through leadership and behavior.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Able to perform basic and complex mathematical computations. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
- Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of computer equipment).
- May visit business locations in the community and state. Must be able to drive. Must be able to travel by auto and on occasion plane to customer locations and attend business conferences.
ATTENDENCE REQUIREMENTSThis position works the following time requirements, normally:
- Reporting as early as 7:00am on Monday through Friday, when needed
- Working until close of day on Monday through Friday (normally 5:00pm Monday-Thursday and 5:30pm on Friday), when needed
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office environment.
