Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide administrative support to Business Banking Admins and Bank Officers.
  • Answer incoming customer calls in a courteous and professional manner to maintain a favorable image of the bank for loan advances and payments on lines of credit, loan balances, payoffs, and other general questions. Greet walk-in customers and when necessary directs them to the proper department. Recognizes and pursues quality customers. Explains bank products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Maintain commercial loan files, create new files, file documents, and correspondence. Transcribe file comments, letters memos, and reports. Prepare loan committee credit displays for the commercial lending officers.
  • Generate credit bureau reports, UCC searches, NADA vehicle values, business certifications and etc. as directed by lenders. Prepare documents for repeat wire transfers and analysis charges.
  • Process loans after closings. Including UCCs, mortgages, grants, and other filings with State, County, and Driver & Vehicle Services departments. Process paid loans, including satisfaction mortgages, partial releases, UCC terminations, UCC amendments, assignments, release of grants.
  • Monitor borrower based certificates and updating computer for availability. Update and maintain tickle computer tracking system with customer credit files. Regulate collateral Insurance Policies. Monitors past due and charged off accounts, following operational processes and communicates any concerns to management.
  • Update and compose lender and board of director reports as requested by management, including past dues, ticklers, watchlist credits, charge-offs and recovery, lender pipeline and production, and approved appraisers list.
  • Directs all incoming calls and emails efficiently. Asks clarifying questions in a courteous and professional manner to maintain a favorable image of the bank.

Other Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.
  • Informs supervisor of important matters which must be known to effectively manage department operations.
  • Adheres to the values of the mission statement, which in turn will prove a base of shared values for everyone who works within the organization.
  • Follows self-development and participates in educational programs to increase skills and knowledge in lending, policies, programs, and systems.
  • Develops and maintains good working knowledge of job responsibilities and procedures, which facilitates efficient performance of duties.
  • Contributes to a favorable working climate within the organization through a friendly and cooperative attitude and exhibiting good teamwork skills. Willingly assists others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines, and spread workload equally. Offers flexibility in covering vacations and other absences.
  • Handles customers and outside contacts in a friendly, pleasant, professional manner, which enhances a favorable image of the organization.

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Entry date immediately after eligibility requirements are met

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; prefer two years of college or technical school; requires two years of work related experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
