Duties of the Lipscomb Academy Middle School (7th & 8th grade) Head Cheer Coach:
- Must have proficiency in the fundamentals of cheer and be able to teach proper techniques to the athletes at the 7th and 8th grade level
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with athletes, parents, and coaches
- Experience in leadership roles and experience in cheerleading
- The head coach's leadership must positively impact the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional development of student-athletes
- Maintain the highest order of professionalism and display the highest level of ethical and moral behavior at all times, including building positive relationships with athletes, coaches, parents, and the community
- Create a Christ-centered environment and team culture of service to others that reflects the Lipscomb Academy Mission Statement
- Guide student-athletes in learning appropriate sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, personal responsibility, and competitiveness to all student-athletes
- Incorporate spiritual, service, and fellowship opportunities for your squad to bond together and within the community
- Available to practice 1-2 afternoons per week during both Football and Basketball seasons (August - February)
- Available for Home games during weekdays (August - February)
- Available for Cheer Camp in July
