Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, menu planning, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Duties:

- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices

- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and portion sizes

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations

- Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of our customers

- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation as needed

- Support the Dietary department in meeting special dietary requirements of customers

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred

- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods

- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe execution

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.53 - $17.48 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
