Breakfast And Prep Cook - Full Time

Hanover Hill Health Care Center is now interviewing for a Cook to join our Dining Services Department. This department is responsible for providing the highest quality dining experience to meet the dietary needs of our residents in our upscale, 124 bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility located on a beautiful campus in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The Breakfast and Prep cook works morning shifts including 6am-2:30pm and 4:30am-1pm.

Job Requirements:

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start of employment

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Must possess and maintain a customer-oriented attitude with personnel, residents, family members, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when situations warrant such action
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast at dining-room based Action Station
• Perform basic cooking duties, at times in large quantities, that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with standardized recipes, special order diets, and planned menus
• Prepare and serve food in accordance with established portion control and sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedure
• Assist in performing daily and scheduled dish-washing duties as well as special cleaning of work areas and equipment in the kitchen, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, appearance of work areas, regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Sweep and mop floors and clean walls as directed
• Maintain the job flexibility to assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed (ie. dishroom)
• Assist as needed in the delivery and pick up of food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas
• Help put away delivery stock; break up cardboard boxes and discard them in dumpster
